There was a time when I knew all your favorite places In the blink of an eye, it seems, you leave few traces Patchwork promises and missing mirrors No words or prayers seem to bring you nearer Vapor street lights shine on To chase away the darkness Wherever you’ve gone Remember where you’re from And remember us – Remember Do you see yourself in the smiles of strangers Is it easier just to dance with danger Every lonely road has to come to an ending Every second chance has a new beginning Vapor street lights shine on To chase away the darkness Wherever you’ve gone Remember where you’re from Remember where you’re from And remember us – Remember

Mystery Girl 03:20
She speaks like a poet Her words full of rhyme Can’t decipher her meaning Most of the time Clothes full of colors Hair in a swirl A walking tornado That mystery girl She’ll dance without worry The way a river just flows Unrehearsed motions Somehow she just knows In perfect alignment Immersed in her own world Smiling like sunlight That mystery girl Don’t think anybody knows Where it is in her mind she goes Doesn’t seem to have a care She is there, she’s right there Under the boardwalk Over the moon Into the mystic Summertime blue Voice like an angel Out of this world She’s one and she’s everything My mystery girl She’s one and she’s everything – My mystery girl

Winter in LA 03:31
Back East when it’s cold outside, and the Western skies Are full of golden, halo light In California it’s a fabulous day, watching the waves Living here is more than just all right Sunny skies in December It’s warm in the shade It’s our hometown advantage It’s winter in LA The seasons they don’t change much, for me it’s just enough I don’t need no weather extremes It’s just a matter of degrees, and a song in the trees 72 is just right for me Sunny skies in December It’s warm in the shade It’s our hometown advantage It’s winter in LA Where else can you find yourself Wearing sandals on New Year’s Eve Top down on a weekday night Where else in the world is it better to be Sunny skies in December It’s warm in the shade It’s our hometown advantage It’s winter in LA

Falling Down 04:03
Waking up slowly Learning to crawl Picking up pieces From so many falls Making up reasons Making up lies Searching for love In cynical eyes Falling Down Falling Down I’m Falling Down again Restlessly active Sleepless at night Running near empty Just doesn’t feel right My world out of balance The choices I make The love that I give The chances I take Falling Down Falling Down I’m Falling Down again Falling Down Falling Down I’m Falling Down again But I get back up every time Falling Down Falling Down But I get back up again

When the words that I’m reading in the books by my side Reinforce what I’m needing more of in my life When I don’t have to get up, get out and escape It’s easy to see, this is another good day It’s another good day When the smell of the coffee, and the wind through the screens And the sound of the radio, all fit perfectly When the songbird that’s singing doesn’t up and fly away I’m trusting in the promise of another good day It’s another good day It’s the little stuff that matters, and the big stuff too It’s the kindness of strangers and those closest to you It’s the way the world feels when a dream comes true It’s all up to me, to me and you It comes down to us, comes down to me and you When I’m choosing to walk on the bright side of the road When I look up and smile and set down my load When the magic is happening, I let it carry me away I must be doing it right, it’s another good day It’s Another Good Day I’m making it happen today It’s Another Good Day

How many more days, Are you going to be here Sharing your secrets, And that spark in your eyes How many more days, Will those love angels wrap their wings around us How many more, How many more days How many more nights, Are you gonna meet me Up on the mountain, At the edge of the dawn How many more nights, Are you gonna sing those songs that soothe me Sing ‘em again, Many more times Time after time, wishing and hoping Wherever you are, yeah that’s my North Star However near or far I’ll be there How many more years, Are we gonna make it Taking the high road, Living our dream How many more years, Will that love light be shining inside of your eyes I’m praying for more, Many more years Yeah, I’m praying for more, Many more

Hold back the water Fight to stop the flood As we watch the life we've built Wash away through tears and blood There's flooded farmland in Kansas In South Dakota too The river that gave us all we had Took away the life we knew Hold back the water The Mississippi is overflowing Hold back the water The mighty river just keeps on rolling Hold back the water We shore up our levees But then the river breaks them down Seventeen feet above flood stage Forced to flee to higher ground There’s more rain in the forecast No foreseeable end in sight So we pray for the strength to carry on For the will to keep up the fight Hold back the water The Mississippi is overflowing Hold back the water The mighty river just keeps on rolling Hold back the water Nearly drowning in pain and fear We're running for our lives All we have now are the tears Nothing left but storm clouds in the sky Hold back the water Hold back the water Hold back the water Hold back

No going back, there’s not a sign or a map Showing the way, to yesterday Can’t change a thing, every choice, every move Remains the same Forgiveness in the dark Ignited by a single spark Finding us here right now, here right now Here right now, here right now What’s coming up, anticipation’s the name Of that game, yeah, yeah Spinning around and around, every path, every step Is unproven ground Finding a glimpse of light Inside the darkest of nights Still we remain here right now, here right now Here right now, here right now Taking the long way, seems to be my way Trying to get it right Bring it on late, staying awake Turning on the light Here right now, here right now Here right now, here right now

Walking a concrete mile With wheels turning fast nearby But not as fast as the images That blur at the edge of my eye The sound of a silent meditation The smell of a cold cuts meal The jingle jangle of small paper That makes a man want to steal What was that she was saying Where did all that time go How the hell did we get all the way here So often it’s hard just to know Pounding the pavement Picking up the speed Just a bit louder Just what we need Let it go, let it bleed Just what we need Just what we need Typing a new same direction Dictating thoughts to the air Capturing sentence and structure Put it all down, put it there Read a book, sing a song, take a number Get in line, you’re the next one soon Hands on a watch turning backwards Reversing the tides of the moon Walk with me, let’s breathe the same air In silence, in sync, in motion Close enough to know better or best Take it away, take it all in Striding the sidewalk The distance recedes Just a bit further Just what we need Let it go, where it will go Just what we need Just what we need

Fire in the sky, blood on the ground Nobody’s sleeping tonight Danger and death all around Who’s gonna live, and who’s gonna die No one’s walking away from this war Going home to a peaceful life Let tonight, be the last night Some fights never seem to end Some you never forget Memories of a life back then Are all they have left That’s all Don’t understand, how we ended up here Fighting somebody else’s fight The reasons are no longer clear Some get to leave, some never get away There’s a burden they will carry around Long after today Let tonight, be the last night Some fights never seem to end Some you never forget Memories of a life way back then Are all they have left That’s all
